Emilio Villalba is a Spanish performer, composer and music producer who carries out research on ancient cultures. His repertoire focuses on the study of traditional music that goes from the Old Continent troubadour poems, song books, and Shephardi ballads to the sounds, dances, and melodies from North Africa and all the Mediterranean coast during the 12th-15th centuries.
He currently produces different projects but one one of the most successful ones is the duet formed along with percussionist Sara Marina Borrego.
We have collaborated in different videoclips but for this promotional video I participated as camera operator, editor and post-producer. I wanted to capture and reflect the wide range of instrument and sounds and the variety of his music on this piece.
